THIS IS A CROCHET PATTERN

Overlay Mosaic Crochet is worked on the right sides only. When working on your blanket the right side will always be facing you. You cut your yarn at the end of each row and hide the ends into a double border.

Yarn =

Background Colour, 2 balls of Scheepjes Whirlette - Chewy 865 (Grey).

Heart Colour, 1 ball of Scheepjes Whirl - Forbidden Fuchsia 555 (Ombre Pinks).

Border Colour, 1 ball of Scheepjes Whirlette - Pomegranate 874.  I chose this shade because it matches the inside colour of Forbidden Fuchsia 555.

Size =

85cm x 100cm. The size can be altered by chaining multiples of 18 and then adding 17 to that number. For this blanket I have used 18 x 9 + 17 = 179 stitches.

Hook =

3.25mm for blanket

2.75mm for border

First Mosaic project - I’m hooked!

I fell in love with this design when someone shared a pic in a crochet group I belong to. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I bought the pattern. I am half way through the middle section and can’t wait to finish so I can start another. The pattern is excellent, and so easy to follow. simple, precise instructions, the pattern is explained, written out in standard pattern notation and charted - so whichever way you like to follow patterns you’re covered. I have found it very easy to work and the pattern truly is a breeze to follow. Thank you!

I bought 3 balls of this yarn in order to crochet some skull motifs in the centre of some granny squares for Hallowe'en. it's lovely yarn - very soft and easy to work with and I love the fun idea of it being glow-in-the-dark. I must confess that I haven't yet tested this property to see how well it does glow but at Hallowe'en I will be trying it out once I've put the squares together in a blanket.
