The Scheepjes Kit Experience offers complete kits for different craft techniques and skill levels. Each kit contains the materials as well as an instructions booklet to get started with a new project.

With the Scheepjes Celestial Mobile crochet kit you can make a beautiful mobile for the nursery or play corner. For this beautiful and soothing creation, designed by Sarah-Jane Hicks, you can crochet a hot air balloon, cute narwhal, stars, clouds and a moon. These cute shapes are then hung on an embroidery hoop. This way you create a unique mobile that is not only an elegant decoration, but also creates a calming and dreamy atmosphere. The crochet pattern for the Celestial Mobile crochet kit is suitable for the intermediate crocheter. You crochet the shapes with Scheepjes Catona, a 100% Mercerised Cotton yarn with a beautiful shine in a fingering weight. This complete kit contains the following items:

  • 2 x Scheepjes Catona of 50 grams holding 125 metres per ball
  • 4 x Scheepjes Catona of 25 grams holding 62.5 metres per ball
  • 1 x Scheepjes Catona of 10 grams holding 25 metres per ball
  • 1 x wooden embroidery hoop
  • 1 x pillow stuffing made from 100% polyester
  • 1 x wooden bead
  • 1 x pattern booklet with instructions in Dutch, English (UK) and German

    You can optionally add a music box to the mobile. This is not included in the kit. Each kit is packed in a sturdy cardboard box with Scheepjes logo measuring 26 x 21 x 9cm.

      If I didn't like Terrazzo, I was going to say it was terr-erible... BUT -- IT'S FANTASTIC. The colors are beautiful and the little nuances of extra color adds to the depth of the finished work. It's soft and is crocheting beautifully. Big bonus - it's ethically sourced and recycled. My order from Yarnalicious was accurate and delivery was speedy! Very happy!!

      A great yarn with an array of different coloured speckles throughout. Easy to knit with and it holds the shape of the garment perfectly. It creates a light fabric and I'm sure it will be a favourite to wear in the future. The only downside is a technical one - as in: I couldn't find a single online photo on different websites that accurately reflected the true colour of the yarn I actually received. Luckily I was happy with the colour anyway but I think it is something to bear in mind when ordering.
