Simy’s Studio designed the Whole Lot of Dots Blanket to include all 60 shades from the Scheepjes Terrazzo Colour Pack. The 30 motifs are knitted separately using the intarsia technique, making this a portable project that’s an ideal introduction to colourwork.  Bold circles within squares accentuate the yarn’s contrasting and complementing flecks and tie the colours within the collection together beautifully.  A simple narrow border using a single 50g ball is all that’s needed to perfectly frame this striking design. Measuring 90 x 100cm, it would make a lovely light lapghan and is sized to be wheelchair friendly.

Written instructions, colour placement schematic and a knitting chart for the colourwork motif.

1x Scheepjes Terrazzo 745 Pergamena 1 ball for border
4mm knitting needles
4mm circular knitting needles 100cm cord

Gauge/Tension:
21 sts and 28 rows to measure 10 x 10cm over st st using 4mm needles.

If I didn't like Terrazzo, I was going to say it was terr-erible... BUT -- IT'S FANTASTIC. The colors are beautiful and the little nuances of extra color adds to the depth of the finished work. It's soft and is crocheting beautifully. Big bonus - it's ethically sourced and recycled. My order from Yarnalicious was accurate and delivery was speedy! Very happy!!

Scheepjes Terrazzo yarn

A great yarn with an array of different coloured speckles throughout. Easy to knit with and it holds the shape of the garment perfectly. It creates a light fabric and I'm sure it will be a favourite to wear in the future. The only downside is a technical one - as in: I couldn't find a single online photo on different websites that accurately reflected the true colour of the yarn I actually received. Luckily I was happy with the colour anyway but I think it is something to bear in mind when ordering.

Re the Yarn - I chose it primarily for the colour as my daughter had requested a baby pink sweater but I really cannot get to grips with it and don't like the way it knits and the lack of stitch definition, so it is currently dormant and in my stash
