Time Travellers Blanket by Cypress Textiles

Only bought this for 1 pattern but I've found a few more I'll try at some point. It's written using American rather than UK stitch terms/names so I'll need to be a bit careful because there isn't a huge difference between the 2 until you're actually crocheting, then you can end up in a bit of a pickle, but it's not the end of the world. Each pattern has some information on the inspiration for them which makes for interesting reading. Only thing I'm not keen on is the orange writing on a black background. I find it really difficult to read without squinting or using a brighter light but that could just be my eyesight and personal preference. Apart from that I'm glad I got the book and I'm looking forward to trying the patterns, think there's 2 more books before this one so I'll look at buying them in the future.

I love the Scheepjes Bookazines; I have a couple a home and just ordered the latest. Shimmerland does not disappoint, the artwork is great and make you dream - it's hard to choose what to make, if only I could crochet and knit quickly (and had the monies..) I would make everything!

I'm crocheting my favourite shawl and to be honest, I'd like to make one in every colour! Yarnalicious had the one I had searched for.... Whirl and whirlette is nice yarn to work with as it's delicate and doesn't unravel. Washes and wears well. Buy some! (Patten is available to buy on Ravelry.com. Grinda shawl by www.lillabjorncrochet.com) Started shawl in "Mid morning moocharoo". Finished one is in "Blackcurrent squeeze me" You'll need a whirl and a toning whirlette to make one like this.
