As we near the end of summer and enter into the cooler months in our part of the world, Scheepjes has crafters covered with homely projects in the most gorgeous autumnal shades in their 7th issue of Pretty Little Things – Let’s Get Cosy! Featuring a timeless knitted beanie to suit children and adults alike, a stash-busting weaving project, and a cable-stitch cushion with fun pompoms, there’s much to be enjoyed in this issue. All patterns are made using Scheepjes Chunky Monkey (Anti Pilling), which is available in 93 shades.

The first design is a timeless knitted beanie in a classic style designed by Tammy Canavan-Soldaat. It will be a wardrobe staple for everyone (especially when topped off with a fun pompom)! These comfy beanies can be made for both children and adults (sizes S-XL).

The second pattern is a fun crocheted cushion designed by Elise Verra. It is a an excellent project for beginners looking to expand their knowledge of crochet stitches, and have some fun experimenting with colour! Create a colourful accessory for the home that is not only cosy but easy to care for too! Finished project measures 35 x 42cm.

The final and third pattern featured in this issue of Pretty Little Things is a multidimensional stash-busting project designed by Simy’s Studio. The clever use of yarns from the other projects inside this issue creates an eye-catching home decoration with added tassels as a fun finishing touch!

If I didn't like Terrazzo, I was going to say it was terr-erible... BUT -- IT'S FANTASTIC. The colors are beautiful and the little nuances of extra color adds to the depth of the finished work. It's soft and is crocheting beautifully. Big bonus - it's ethically sourced and recycled. My order from Yarnalicious was accurate and delivery was speedy! Very happy!!

Scheepjes Terrazzo yarn

A great yarn with an array of different coloured speckles throughout. Easy to knit with and it holds the shape of the garment perfectly. It creates a light fabric and I'm sure it will be a favourite to wear in the future. The only downside is a technical one - as in: I couldn't find a single online photo on different websites that accurately reflected the true colour of the yarn I actually received. Luckily I was happy with the colour anyway but I think it is something to bear in mind when ordering.

Re the Yarn - I chose it primarily for the colour as my daughter had requested a baby pink sweater but I really cannot get to grips with it and don't like the way it knits and the lack of stitch definition, so it is currently dormant and in my stash
