The new Scheepjes YARN Bookazine 15 Metamorphosis is inspired by the constant changes in nature. During lockdowns, we were drawn towards nature close to home. With our favourite yarns in hand, we saw nature flourish and that's how we saw the light at the end of the lockdown tunnel. Backyards and balconies transformed, weeds captured our imagination and the buzzing of insects and the beautiful sounds of birds caught our attention - things we were not consciously aware of before. Metamorphosis pays homage to the metamorphoses that take place in nature. Beholding these small miracles allowed us to emerge as more conscious versions of ourselves after the lockdowns.

YARN Bookazine 15 takes you through the theme of Metamorphosis through four chapters, each one dedicated to a special animal that we can find in our gardens: the Damselfly, Garden Tiger Moth, Honey Bee and Muslin Moth. With the 16 crochet and knitting patterns you can transform fibres into the most beautiful clothing items, fashion accessories, home decorations and toys. Fine embroidery in many of the patterns draws our attention to the details of nature. How about a beautiful crochet shawl with a damsel pattern, a knitted unisex sweater with an embroidered butterfly, a handy storage basket in the shape of a beehive or a cuddly muslin moth butterfly in a cocoon to play with? The theme of Metamorphosis is further explored in interviews with artists who are inspired by recycled materials, architecture and technology. Informative features about solitary honey bees and the Shceepjes’ support of biodiversity complete this Bookazine edition.

If I didn't like Terrazzo, I was going to say it was terr-erible... BUT -- IT'S FANTASTIC. The colors are beautiful and the little nuances of extra color adds to the depth of the finished work. It's soft and is crocheting beautifully. Big bonus - it's ethically sourced and recycled. My order from Yarnalicious was accurate and delivery was speedy! Very happy!!

Scheepjes Terrazzo yarn

A great yarn with an array of different coloured speckles throughout. Easy to knit with and it holds the shape of the garment perfectly. It creates a light fabric and I'm sure it will be a favourite to wear in the future. The only downside is a technical one - as in: I couldn't find a single online photo on different websites that accurately reflected the true colour of the yarn I actually received. Luckily I was happy with the colour anyway but I think it is something to bear in mind when ordering.

Re the Yarn - I chose it primarily for the colour as my daughter had requested a baby pink sweater but I really cannot get to grips with it and don't like the way it knits and the lack of stitch definition, so it is currently dormant and in my stash
