Louise Crowther’s Knitted BBQ Chef and Sarah-Jane Hicks’ Amigurumi BBQ Keyrings are perfect gifts for hosts, and several of the crocheted bite-sized treats chained together would make fabulous decorations to amuse guests. We’re all looking for ways to craft and enjoy ourselves in a more sustainable way. One of the simplest things we can do when eating out and about is to carry our own reusable cutlery and straws. Liz Barraclough has designed a handy fabric Cutlery Wrap suitable for beginner sewers that is easily adapted to fit utensils of various shapes and sizes.

The projects in the issue were made using Scheepjes Catona, Scheepjes Cotton 8 and Tissu de Marie Cotton Fabric.

If I didn't like Terrazzo, I was going to say it was terr-erible... BUT -- IT'S FANTASTIC. The colors are beautiful and the little nuances of extra color adds to the depth of the finished work. It's soft and is crocheting beautifully. Big bonus - it's ethically sourced and recycled. My order from Yarnalicious was accurate and delivery was speedy! Very happy!!

Scheepjes Terrazzo yarn

A great yarn with an array of different coloured speckles throughout. Easy to knit with and it holds the shape of the garment perfectly. It creates a light fabric and I'm sure it will be a favourite to wear in the future. The only downside is a technical one - as in: I couldn't find a single online photo on different websites that accurately reflected the true colour of the yarn I actually received. Luckily I was happy with the colour anyway but I think it is something to bear in mind when ordering.

Re the Yarn - I chose it primarily for the colour as my daughter had requested a baby pink sweater but I really cannot get to grips with it and don't like the way it knits and the lack of stitch definition, so it is currently dormant and in my stash
